We develop arts leaders through our suite of Arts Leadership Programs which are designed to strengthen business acumen and organizational resilience within arts organizations.

Features of our Arts Leadership programs:

  • We offer an arts-and-business integrated approach

  • We offer experiential learning through our final projects

  • We offer peer-to-peer learning with other arts professionals

  • We offer the ability to work and study at the same time

Our programs are facilitated by a combination of instructors including: Rozsa Foundation staff (practicing arts professionals), University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business faculty, Rozsa Award recipient alumni, and leadership consultants.

Our Arts Leadership Programs include:

The Rozsa Admin Fundamentals Training provides early career arts professionals (0-3 years of experience) with an introduction to what it means to work in a not-for-profit arts organization. Through an interactive case-study, topics covered include organizational structure, board and staff roles, strategic planning, and project planning.

The Rozsa Arts Management Program provides mid-career to senior level arts professionals (3+ years of experience) an opportunity to be introduced to new concepts or dig deeper into topics including governance, resource development, marketing, human resources, leadership, and finance.

The Rozsa Executive Arts Leadership program provides an opportunity for arts leaders (5+ years of experience) seeking to enhance their leadership skills in a challenging and collaborative environment to discuss trust, leadership, board development, communication, business development, and human resources.

All graduates of our programs receive a certificate of completion. Additionally, all of our Arts Leadership program alumni are invited to our annual Arts Leadership Spring Social event and the annual Rozsa Awards so they can continue to connect with their peers.

Our Rozsa Arts Leadership Program alumni include Executive Directors, Artistic Directors, Program Managers/Coordinators/Assistants, Production Managers, Consultants, Board Members, Professional Artists, etc. from small, medium-sized, and large arts organizations who represent a variety of art disciplines.
